Well, Tennessee was a lot of fun! But the trip also made me see the "real" side of a lot of people.
Well we left Thursday morning around 5:10am and we arrived at Berea at 11am where we went to a clinic to help us sing at the Louise Manderell show that night. Berea College is for people who want to pursue a career in performing arts but do not have the income to go to colleges like Juilliard and what not. And after that we headed off to Gatlinburg Tennessee where we arrived there around....4pm? I believe and omg....our view of Gatilnburg was beautiful!! Our hotel was 15 stories and it was on a knob they called "Widows Knob" or something like that. I don't remember the story behind it. Gatlinburg is a town the size of South Lyon with the same population, only built up A LOT more.
Well, that night we went to the Louise Manderell show where we sang at intermission, and didn't do so hot as I thought we could have. After the show, we went to the hotel, and had bed check where we had a sercurity guard on our floor...so there where no "sneaking" out. I shared a room with Leah,Lauren and Darcy. It was a lot of fun, we met this kid named Brian and his Friend Victor who was in the room under us, and we stood on the balcony talking them til 2am every night we were there. At first I thought they were jerks but then in the end they turned out to be really nice kids. Well on Friday we went to lunch and we got airbrushed shirts and what not and then went to our convention thing where we got first place in our division and what not, so did Jazz. We received a score of 95 percent, which Lorenz (Laurenz as the announcer man called him) told us that we got the best score out of all the people there including the bands, color guards, hand bells people, and what not. It was kinda cool that when we were watching all the other choirs they sounded either A) really bad or B) you couldn't hear them at all. The hall we sang in was like singing in the commons at school, which sucks, it sounds dead and you needed to focus your sound more then what you would normally have to do. After the whole convention was done, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe which sucked ass because the cafe only gave us 5 choices of food, which pissed a lot of us off. But, Russell and I decided to forget about it, and to get the whole part of the cafe to start doing the YMCA where I started to chase Lorenz into dancing with us. He did for point 2 seconds.
After that we went back into the hotel and we still had a curfew even though I was screaming on the bus to "screw curfew". Lauren and I sat in the hotel room for a while and talked about a lot of drama that was going around on the whole trip that didn't need to be there. and then we went down to the pool to watch everyone swim and to play spoons with Lorenz-o, Mrs. Karsten, Lisa, Mrs. Heinkenin, Mr. and Mrs. West. After that we went back to the hotel room, where I started dressing up like someone in the choir (not going to say who) and chased leah with a belt. we didn't go to bed til 3am. That day we went shopping more and then went to Dollywood, where it rained, and Kyle got mad, but then we got dry and then went on some roller coasters and then it started raining again and so we took Lorenz on the bumper cars and on the carousel, and this simulator that took you through the Smoky Mountains. Then we had to sleep on the bus on the way home, and we kept stopping every two hours, and I kept waking up. I felt bad for Kyle because Kyle couldnt sleep and he was the only one on the bus..:( that sucks....so he was really tired when he got home.
One thing that pissed me off about the trip was the little situation with Chelsea. She is such a sweetheart that I don't understand how a person could be so mean to her. and that really pissed me off. Amanda is really pissed about a situation that happened to a couple of people and a particular person that; that person is going to be getting an ear full tomorrow. She would have done it on the trip, but she didn't want to get sent home. but overall it was a good trip...just too much drama for one to handle....
Well I must go un-pack and then get going on the homework. tomorrow I get my 12 root canals....woohoo...
